Please complete the Review Quiz. Assignment: Take 3-6 portraits and post them to your blog. Experiment with different portrait styles - see below:
You can experiment with two or three of these or all of them. You can use any person or animal as your subject. You can use this assignment so show how you are feeling, to express a mood, or you can just experiment with the different techniques. I understand that resources are limited, so do your best and use what you have. If you have any questions, please email me.

In this Iceland image, made with the Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 17-40mm lens – mounted on a tripod. The image, with excellent detail in the both the shadow and highlight areas (thanks to the dynamic range of the 30.4 mega pixel image sensor), illustrates several basic - and important - photographic techniques.
Assignment: Take a landscape yourself (Grand landscape, detail, or abstract - can be current or from your camera roll) with any device you have and make sure to include the following:
| Review: 1) The black line shows the movement of the water running through the image. (principle of design) 2) The corner-to-corner white arrow shows that everything in the scene is in sharp focus. For max depth-of -field, use a wide-angle lens, small aperture (f24-f32) and focus 1/3 into the frame. 3) The circles on the intersecting lines of the "rule of thirds" grid show that the two waterfalls are the main subjects. 4) The open area at the top of the frame illustrates breathing room. 5) The letter "E" is placed over the brightest part of the image to illustrate good exposure. Alt Assignment: Use this landscape image and explain:

Due Tuesday 3/31 Posted to your Blog
Welcome to remote learning. I'm trying to keep it as similar to our regular class as possible. This is where I plan to have most or all of our assignments. They will correspond with the assignments in School loop. I will send mass emails through google classroom, so if you have not accepted the link that I sent to your school email, please do. Should we have to continue this after Spring Break, I will have free programs for you to use and will videotape instruction as needed so we can try and get through a few more projects. This is new territory, so please bear with me and I will be mindful that you are also not in an ideal learning situation. Email me with any concerns, comments, or just to say "Hi" if you feel like it.
On another note, I'm not the best rule follower and like to do things differently on my terms which is why I've had so much success in life in a creative capacity and thinking differently. That being said, I get a bit stir crazy being inside and being told what to do - I'm sure you can understand. Right now we need to follow the rules so I'm hoping the exercise below brings you a bit of joy. I am sorry for the language.
