Layer effects are things like drop shadows, stroke, and color overlays. Clipping Mask Assignment: Take an image and use clipping mask to mask an image into your name. Next, take a word such as APPLE or BEACH and mask an image into that word, then use a hue/saturation adjustment layer to change the color of the images. Use the Layer Styles Panel to add a drop shadow. Then do the same thing again, but mask an image into each letter of that word - must be at least 3 letters. Post all 5 images to your blog.

Why Do We Hate Selfies? | PBS Idea Channel Despite being possibly the world's most annoying habit, selfies are undeniably a major part of modern visual language. They may be the lowest common denominator of the art of photography, but they are also a legitimate form of communication ("a picture is worth a thousand words" comes to mind). But maybe all the hate comes from a confusion about what selfies actually are! Is it possible they're not actually "photographs" but a totally different form of communication? Could they even be important and meaningful? Watch the episode to find out. Assignment: Set up Blogger and take a Selfie and post it to your blogger account before next class. Please include your definition of a Selfie and put your URL (view blog mode) in the Form attached to the button below. DUE EOC 9/22 or 9/23 - Even
