Still life & Color SplashApril 24/25: Read Still Life Chapter, fill out worksheet and turn in. Assignment: Until now most of your photos have been a kind of found art – the photograph captures something beautiful already existing in the world. This week we'll extend your creative control beyond the camera to the scene itself. In still life photography you arrange the scene, choose the background, and alter the lighting however you want. You should take time to arrange each shot just how you like it. There are plenty of second chances to get the shot right in still life photography. Think about composition, background, unity & variety. You may use my props or bring in your own. Please be respectful of the items that we have to work with here. EXAMPLES HERE Take 5 Still life shots (can be same subject, but must be different angle and/or light, add to, or take away from the scene) with the DSLR (in color and/or adjust to black and white). These will be shot on-site in the studio. BE CREATIVE!!! Think of your lighting! Re-touch your image to enhance the mood with color adjustments, edge burning, hue/saturation, levels, or another enhancement. Due April 30/May 1 : (50 possible points)
Add artistic brush strokes for 2pts. extra credit - Must add to the overall composition.
April 26/27: Work on Still Life.
